Whether your interests are hiking, biking, boating or equestrian trail riding, Riverside State Park offers outdoor adventures for everyone with over 9,000 acres of forest land and natural areas along the Spokane and Little Spokane Rivers, and is the second largest state park in Washington. Best of all, it's only a 20-minute drive from downtown Spokane.

Riverside State Park offers a rich history and was developed by members of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in 1933-1934. The Spokane House Interpretive Center features exhibits about the long history of the Spokane Tribe of Indians in our region as well as early pioneers, fur trappers, and fur-trading posts dating back to 1810.

Enjoy a day picnic, camping, family hikes, birdwatching, or just dipping your toes into the meandering Spokane River to cool off when summer arrives.

  • Discover Passes are available for checking out at Spokane Library locations. Learn more about "Check Out Washington" HERE. The Check Out Washington program started in 2019 as a pilot partnership between Washington State Parks and the Washington State Library.
