Sustaining Our Park for All Generations
Using financial donations and community volunteer hours we advocate for and make improvements to Riverside State Park, so that it can remain wild and accessible for existing and for future generations.
We love Riverside State Park. We love how big it is, how the hurry of daily life falls away amongst the trees, how the sound of birdsong can remind us to be present and grateful. We love to ride horses, to play on dirt bikes, to go for a hike and put our feet in the river. We love watching our kids pick up pine cones and our dogs stretch their legs on the trails.
We know you love the park, too. That’s why you keep coming back, and why you want this park to be wild and accessible for generations to come.
When you Invest in the park, You Invest in the future.
From hiking to boating to equestrian opportunities, Riverside State Park offers an outdoor adventure for everyone. Best of all, it’s only a 20-minute drive from downtown Spokane.
A breath of fresh air. A chance to stretch your legs. Picnics and camping and snow sports and mountain biking. Leave the city behind.
Let the forest be the teacher: take a walk at your child’s pace. Or have lunch in the gazebo. Or sit by the river to see what swims past.

JOIN US FOR SOME FUN
Events are a major way the Foundation helps the park. Events bring revenue and people to Riverside which help increase people’s passion and commitment to the land and the people that use it.
About Riverside State Park Foundation
Since 2002, the Riverside State Park Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit, has raised over $350,000 to support the park. This support became crucial during the government budget cuts of 2008, and many of those funding cuts are still in effect today making the work we do even more critical.
We’ve created events to encourage people to visit the park and to raise funds for park projects. We have improved security through parking lot cameras. We’ve contributed to the park’s sustainability by funding a volunteer coordinator.
There’s so much still to do. We’re designing and distributing maps. We’re working on more water access for dogs and horses.
We’re looking for more volunteers and financial support. We need you!
