OPENING: Board of Directors, Riverside State Park Foundation.

Currently, the Riverside State Park Foundation is considering applicants who have skills and experience in: FUNDRAISING (including sponsorships), EVENT PLANNING AND COORDINATION, and/or LEADERSHIP. We’re looking for people with high energy, a sense of urgency to accomplish endeavors, and a desire to give back to Riverside State Park. The foundation is a 501C3 nonprofit corporation.  Using financial donations and community volunteer hours we advocate for and make enhancements to Riverside State Park so that it can remain wild and accessible for existing and future generations.

All directors are expected to attend monthly meetings, volunteer a minimum of 40 hours per year, serve on a committee, and take part in outreach activities. Riverside State Park Spokane River Scenic Hike Jan 1st 2022

First day hike guided by Park staff and volunteers from the Riverside State Park Foundation. Participants will hike along the beautiful Spokane River and work their way back to the trailhead, passing by the remains of the historic Civilian Conservation Corps camp at Seven Mile.

Round Trip: ~2 miles.

Notice: Each hike is limited to 25 people and registration is required.

When: Saturday January 1, 2022 @ 1:00 pm

Where to Meet: Meet at the Wilber Trailhead. The address is 8300 N State Park Dr, Nine Mile Falls, WA, 99026.

Things to Bring: Shoe traction device for snow and ice, hiking poles.

Additional Info: Group size is limited to 25 participants. January 1st is a State Park Free Day, a Discover Pass is not required.

Riverside State Park Riverside Bluff Hike Jan 1st 2022

First day hike guided by Park staff and volunteers from the Riverside State Park Foundation. Participants will hike through a beautiful Douglas Fir and Ponderosa Pine Forest before descending and reascending the levels of the Riverside bluffs.

Round Trip: ~3.5 miles.

Notice: Each hike is limited to 25 people and registration is required.

When: Saturday January 1, 2022 @ 9:30 am

Where to Meet: Meet at the Marchand Trailhead. The address is 7100 N Old Trails Road, Spokane, WA 99224.

Things to Bring: Shoe traction device for snow and ice, hiking poles.
